Someone else's post — in your style

CopyPost takes a post from the source channel and, before the post reaches your channel, tidies it up by your rules: cuts off the “Subscribe to @source” line, swaps other people's links and @mentions for yours, puts a watermark on the photo, and, if you like, turns audio into a voice message. And ads with buttons needn't reach your channel at all — a filter will screen them out.

  1. The “Subscribe to @source” tail is cut by a replacement
  2. The @mention and the link are yours now, and the bold stayed
  3. Your watermark sits in the photo's bottom right corner
  4. The audio file has become a voice message
  5. A filter kept the ad with buttons out of the channel

Your words instead of theirs

A plain replacement changes a word everywhere it occurs, and a regular expression (a pattern that many similar strings match at once) can also swap pieces of text around (as in “15 USD” → “$15” below). The formatting doesn't slide: replace a bold word with a longer one, and the whole new word stays bold, and a link, if it was on that word, stays in place too.

@source_channel → @my_channel

A plain “text → text” replacement — can be case-insensitive and whole-word

15 USD → $15

A regular expression with a group: (\d+)\s*USD → $$$1 ($$ is the dollar sign itself, $1 is the number found)

Subscribe to our channel! → (empty)

The post's tail is cut by \n*Subscribe.*$ with an empty replacement

Replacements run in order, top to bottom, and each can have its own condition. Sometimes after the replacements the text under a photo or video runs over 1,024 characters — then CopyPost trims it, and it won't cut a single character in half (except that a composite emoji such as a flag may lose part of itself if the cut falls right on it). t.me links to the source's posts are automatically rewritten to point at your copies of those posts (if those were copied to you too). One caveat: all this — like the watermark and conversion below — works only in Copy mode (“Копия”: the post comes out on behalf of your channel), because in Forward mode (“Пересылка”) the message arrives with the “Forwarded from” label, and Telegram doesn't let anyone change such a message. What won't get into the channel

A post gets into your channel only if no filter has screened it out. Each filter has an action — “skip if” (that is, don't publish the post if the condition is met) or “only if” (publish only such posts) — and a condition: text, a regular expression or features of the post (buttons, forwarding, media type and more).

One pipeline (a “from where → to where” rule) can hold up to 64 regular expressions, and if one of them has an error, the panel tells you right when you save. Filters change on the fly, nothing needs restarting. And an album with an ad in its text is screened out by the filter as a whole, all its photos included. How to remove ads from reposts

A watermark in the corner of the frame

You set the position and width in percent of the frame size, so the mark lands in the same spot on a horizontal photo and on a vertical video alike — no fitting it to every format. It goes on photos, videos, GIFs and video notes, and each kind is switched on separately.

0 is at the left or top edge, 100 at the right or bottom. A PNG with a transparent background, up to 2 MB, works best. You can also apply the mark only under a condition — say, only to posts with #exclusive.

A video becomes a video note, a track a voice message

Conversion only touches suitable posts: the “audio → voice” rule simply leaves photos and texts as they are. And it's free on all plans.

  1. ♪ lecture.mp3

Audio → voiceThe track arrives as a voice message, not a file

  2. ♪ audio.mp3

Voice → audioThe voice message becomes an ordinary MP3 file

  3. Video → video noteThe video is cut to a square around the center; everything after the 60th second is trimmed

  4. Video note → videoThe video note becomes an ordinary video

  5. ♪ audio.mp3

Video → audio trackThe sound is taken out of a video or video note — as an MP3

Order matters here: the watermark and conversions sit in the same list as the replacements and run top to bottom, so if you put “video → video note” first and the watermark after it, the logo lands on the finished video note (unless video notes are switched off for the mark) instead of sliding past the edge of the crop.
